TM and I have both been playing with the idea of signing up for this and playing together. Anyone else interested? Sure, as Cid has mentioned... it's not the same if you're not able to play face to face with someone, but at least this is a way for us to be able to play with eachother and not with 12 year old strangers at our local comic shops.

It has the potential to be really fun if a good number of us got into to. Who wants to give it a shot? I wana talk deck constuction and strategy!

I don't know how much money I'd be able to put towards it monthly, but I think I could at least do a draft a month and dueling with the spoils in between.

My favorite decks are red/blue when the cards exist to make that pairing work, which they should moving into Ravnica with the Izzet League.

Im the same way... finance-wise. I can't afford to be spending a fortune on virtual cards. I say we do a monthly draft online and work with what we have and what we can trade in between.

Oh man, I can go on about deck construction and strategy forever. Though, the average age at my LCS is plenty more than 12 . . .

I'll reiterate that I'll sign up if I can semi-reliably catch a number of you online as well.

        Also, totally calling White/Red.

I can be semi-reliable to play with. I may even be able to convince the wife to play with us. If that worked out, I'd actually be able to play even MORE often. We'll test those waters tonight.

Ok, so, that's 1/2/maybe 3 people, depending on TM and your wife. A couple more and I'll look into it.

FAIR WARNING: I will not have the money to buy any digital cards this month. We're a little strapped for cash atm and I've already committed to spending $40 on the prerelease.

My son is in as well if you're ok with playing with one 10-year old.

Not fair. TM gets to play 2 decks at once. I call bullshit.

You're just going to use your son's turn in the draft to select cards for your own deck. I know your type... his deck will suck... yours will be awesome and all of ours will be "meh/so'k".

                    bullshit bullshit bullshit

I'm pretty sure that's not even possible online, but thanks for the idea for live drafts.

And nah, his play isn't good enough yet that I'd want to steal credit for it. The one casting creatures (without citp effects) in the pre-combat main and not holding instants until the end step will not be me.

Here's the page to get started, btw: Magic Online : Magic Online : Digital Games : Magic: The Gathering

I'd rather focus on building up 2013 and RtR collections than back up and include Innistrad block.

The last block I played was Alara. Great block... but it's been a while since then. I'll have to head to the shop this weekend and page through some of the newer binders to see what I've been missing.

I'm actually really really really not all that fond of Innistrad block. All it would really have to offer me are a few awesome (and inevitably overpriced) lands (lookin' at you, Cavern of Souls). Though to be fair, Avacyn Restored has a ton of fun toys, and the also-overpriced Restoration Angel.

Dear Lord, even as a White player I freaking hate Angels in modern-day MTG. Always so spotlight-stealing and overpowered wherever they appear. I'd feel so dirty if I could afford to play them.
