Wake is a million times better than blessing. Cheaper to cast for one, and it would make Avacyn a lot more playable outside of revival spells.

We still need to play Magic Fire. And Yyg, we still need to finish our third game!

            1st game: Mez wins 35 - 0
2nd game: Yyg wins 6-0 (the game was in Mez's grasp, but Yyg played the fog card to avoid all damage that round. SoB...)
            3rd game: pending
75: Sam, Nin, Blm, Thf, Pld, Cor, Rdm
            RANK 10 Bastok
            CoP: Done
            ZM: Done
            ToA: Done
            Assault rank: Captain
            Campaign Medal: Medals
Wotg: Complete the quests already and I'll start

Love Batallion. Was hoping that Gruul would get the attacking trigger but Boros is a good choice too.

                    • Re: Magic: The Gathering

Batallion fits the Boros flavour better than it fits Gruul. Boros is the Borderline Lawful Evil Flag Waving Militarist faction. Gruul is Chaotic Neutral at best and really doesn't have much in the way of discipline, nevermind forming battalions.

That said to be fair using D&D alignments in MTG is probably a bad idea considering you can count the number of unambiguously good (Sorin Markov is the closest thing MTG has to a "Good Guy", the Weatherlight Crew. Toshihiro Umezawa, what's left of the Mirrans probably counts too) or card carrying evil (New Phyrexia, Rakdos, Nicol Bolas) factions/characters on both hands.

And I could see that Angel working very well in my Burn at the Stake deck if it was mono red and not Red/White as I'm really not sure what else a White Splash would offer such a fast burn deck over Black or Blue.

I didn't say Batallion specifically, just some kind of attack trigger for the keyword - both WR and RG are extremely aggressive. Bloodrush is a little too similar to cascade as well.

On the plus side, Boros is looking to be the aggro king, even over Rakdos & Selesnya which are already very strong - I LOVE the synergy Boros has with Odric. LOVE IT! :D

Guess this confirms no Helix reprint though, and for that I am truly saddened. Even still, this angel makes Lightning Maulers playable lol.

At this rate, Boros Angels are going to be a powerful deck. Can't say I didn't see this coming from, well, 100 nautical miles away.

Why's it always have to be Angels, though . . .

Standard Exalted? I think you're thinking of Orzhov there, which is probably going to have a graveyard mechanic, if the flavor text on Rest in Peace is any hint.
