NC already had a law against gay marriage, this vote just changed the wording oh and causes a bunch of problems with marriages from another state now not recognized in NC. Things like hospital visits, child custody and other stuff.

Statewise the split on the vote was exactly the same as Prop 8 in California in terms if how people voted. Meaning, not just conservative Christian republicans voted in favor. NC voted pretty liberally until 2010.

From what I saw on CNN an overwhelming majority voted in favor of the bill in NC and that despite all the public outcry, people are basically saying 1 thing in public but acting entirely different in private as evidenced by a lot of these votes in other states.

So basically while Gay Marriage seems to be in good standing the reality of it (at least privately) indicates otherwise.

Its ok and legal to marry your cousin, and have incest babies with them, but you can't marry anyone if your gay, or your gay cousin?

Seriously though doing your cousin is no big deal. Half the genes from both parties involved came from outside the family. Hell, I'm not a biologist but even between siblings it's not a surefire thing there would be defects; each sibling gets a different mix of genes from their parents. Either way these days you can get tested to check that sort of thing, can't you?

I'm pretty surprised Foamy is still a thing. Unless that's an old video.
