Bok choy is ok in moderation as it adds some variety to the meal's texture, but I'm not overly fond of it on its own.

i love bok choy alot too...

side note... my wife is Filipina, and thusly her mom is too, lol... now my wife doesn't really cook much, but I love to cook, and her mom is an exceptional cook, especially when it comes to Filipino dishes. When she makes something that I really like, I ask her to teach me. There is this really good soup she taught me that's healthy that has long bok choy in it. It's called Sinigang. Beef, long bok choy (can use regualr bok choy too), diced onions, chopped tomatoes, heaps of diced garlic, and Sinigang flavoring packet by Knorr. Sooo good... hmmm... i think i know what i'll be making this weekend...

Chicken chow mein is my absolute favorite when it comes to Chinese though, and sadly there's only one place in the whole damn city (and it's all the way down town @.@) that makes it well. Still, omg... chopped chicken, carrots, bean sprouts and mushrooms over crispy noodles in a delectable sauce yum!

Well, for no apparent reason other than it being overcast most this week, I started walking in the late afternoon and evenings, only once coming home in the rain. If I'm doing the math correctly based on my 3DS pedometer, I did 21 miles between Sunday and Wednesday. All i really do is walk from my apartment up to the mega-church down the street, loop it as much as I feel like and go back.

When asked if they wanted another go at walking today, my legs were like, "Fuck you, man."

Then again, I lost my stylus somewhere and I want more Play Coins for Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, so damn my tired legs, I'm going in an hour. After I load up some MP3s and podcasts from iTunes.

Did seven and half miles yesterday. one loop around the church and back home is three miles. Looping around the church six times and almost literally tracing the outmost boundries of the church parking lot and sidewalks got it up to seven and a half miles.

Oddly, when i shuffled MP3s yesterday, about half of what came up were FFXI tracks.

Where do you get these tracks for an iPod? Do you just search ffxi on iTunes?

I imported the CoP OST years ago, ripped it to my iTunes.

Otherwise, pretty much everything Final Fantasy and SE music in general is on iTunes.

I don't even have an iPhone or iPod, though, I just move them to an SD card and load them on my 3DS. You don't get to look at the fancy album notes that way, sadly.

iTunes has most of the FFXI soundtracks.

So earlier this week one of my co-workers was visiting from another office and commented that it looked like I had lost weight since they last saw me. That was pretty encouraging.

Lately I've been noticing that the limiting factor on push-ups isn't my arms but rather my legs getting tired. It's the weirdest thing, but holding the normal stance just seems to drain my legs faster than my arms. Not really sure what to do about that other than space out some additional sets over the course of the night. Oh and I really should figure out an alternative to open palms or knuckles because both of those seem to fuck up my hands if I go too many reps, just in different ways.

Pull up a chair and kick your legs up onto the chair and then your arms on the ground like a normal pushup. This will put more pressure on your arms and alleviate some of the pressure on your legs.

It will also help strengthen your core.

As far as your push-ups problems are concerned, I recommend some push-up stands. I'm not usually one to advocate 'gimmicky exercise equipment...you know, all the crap you see on TV that's supposed to help you with crunches and blah blah, but this is an exception. They really helped me as palm push-ups was a concern for me as far as wrist injuries go and I couldn't find a comfortable position with knuckle variations (even with a pillow underneath). You can get the plain ole' ones for about $5-10 at exercise/sporting or big box stores, or you can opt for those fancy twist ones although I've never used one to give a fair assessment.

Finally moving on to a bit of weight training.

. _ . I feel pathetic @ my own lack of strength, but I'll get there.

I'm not sure if this is really helping any on the legs, but it's definitely giving me a better workout on my arms. Might have to switch over to these full time.
