My homework kept me from both my Monday and Wednesday workout, tomorrow I will be back at it with a vengeance, since I have class today before work.

Oh lawd I'm gonna be sore tomorrow...

My trainer really worked me over today lol. Tried out the assisted-pull up machine for the first time today, did about 25 pull ups on there. Was all upper body/strength training today. I'm loving these sessions, just wish it wasn't so damned expensive >,<

I think my Not-really-pull-ups are probably the most effective exercise in my routine. Not even five minutes into it and I'm panting like a dog. They leave me exhausted and achy, sort of like lunges used to(the achy bit anyway). Speaking of which, I tried to do lunges again this week and today my knees were all "cut that shit out". I miss being able to do lunges.

Yeah lunges can be a bit rough at times - I don't feel it in my knees so much as my upper legs.

I dunno, I tend to have more trouble with some of the upper body exercises than the lower ones 'cause my arms are double-jointed at the elbows so I can't keep 'em totally straight (also means I have to be much more careful during certain routines).

Achieved my goal. Weight range is down to 175-180, now I just need to maintain that for a while until it becomes routine. In the meantime my next goal is to improve on pull-ups, since I can still only really do the one before my body just refuses to cooperate and recuperation time between sessions tends to be multiple days.

                congrats! :D

I've apparently lost a bit of weight myself. Not much, still got a pudge but it's a start

Yeah, I've still got plenty of gut left to lose, but my pants are starting to feel loose. I had to go from 3 to 4 notches on the belt this week.

I'm on the same boat. I'm like 90% there. As soon as I lose what's left of my man-tits I'll be happy.

I'd be way more ok with my gut if I didn't have man-tits to go along with it. Man-tits are the worst.

^_^ I beat my record today, 2 minutes during a wall-sit; my trainer's own personal record is 2:30 and he was shocked & impressed - most days I get between 30~45 seconds at best, my previous record was 1 minute.

Oh man, today was rough but so worth it. It's funny just how fast things can turn around in a few weeks (I guess having a fast metabolism helps though?)

                            YES!!!

So in 3 weeks, I've lost about 10 lbs so far, but more importantly, my BMI has gone down nearly 7%!!!!! I'm only around 20 now, and ideally you want to be under that ~ around 15 I think is ideal. ^______^

I've fallen off the wagon again this week on account of catching the plague.

My response to getting sick is to eat ravenously, drink tons of water and orange juice and sleep as much as I can. The idea being to give my body extra resources to work with and to not have it waste resources repairing the damage from working out when it should be diverting all available resources to my immune system.

I would suggest taking vitamin C tablets (you can get them in a nice orange flavor too that's not too sweet) or perhaps just eating foods that are very high in vitamin C, as opposed to just drinking a whole lot of OJ.

OJ isn't bad for you in small doses, but you'd be amazed at how much sugar is in it - even in the *pure* stuff from Oasis we buy, 100% Orange Juice (no water, no sugar added NOTHING) it's still like 8 teaspoons of sugar pet 250ml / 8oz. glass - that adds up fast. Grapefruit is supposed to be extremely good for you overall, though I find it rather nasty even with a sprinkle of sugar lol...

Surprisingly, cinnamon is *extremely* good for your immune system - 10 Immune-Boosting Foods - Cold and Flu Guide - Everyday Health

The main thing is to make sure you're eating as much natural (and low calorie) vitamin C and anti-oxidants as possible (so purple veggies, blueberries, etc.)

EDIT: Not sure if I posted this specifically, but I know I mentioned my nutribullet earlier but I figure I may as well share what's been helping me out so much in all this (along with the naturally fast metabolism, yay for small miracles)

The tall cup I use with my Nutribullet holds a maximum of 24 oz. I typically fill it up about 40% (sometimes 50, but usually 40 for taste reasons) with either Green Kale, Spinach, or both. Then I add 2 whole ripe bananas, blueberries, raspberries and mango chunks (all frozen because frozen food retains nutrients much better) and then I mix in a few teaspoons each of sunflower, sesame and pumpkin seeds + a few almonds and then just fill it up with water.

Effectively, it's a multi-vitamin in a glass that tastes decent, goes right into my system the instant I drink it (because the machine emulsifies everything) and gives me a big boost to start each day.

                                For reference;

I got most of this info in my little booklet that came with my nurtibullet but it doesn't cover everything. Not sure why Mangos aren't listed there either as they're a great natural sweetener for smoothies and have a special dietary fiber that's only found in them.
