[Nameless]

I was just talking to a friend of mine about internet forums and the first ones we ever posted on. This is not the first forum I ever posted on, however it is the oldest one that is still in existence. I joined here almost 9 years ago when I was 13 and I'm now 22. It's just shocking to think about where the time has went. It was funny that I called myself Nameless too because at the time I didn't have a consistent internet persona that I used. I made a lot of friends from here and joined a Linkshell that started the game together at release. Unfortunately I have fragmented memories about most of them. It's funny to think that some of the 18-20 year old guys I was playing with are nearly 30 now.

Anyway, it's late and this just blew my mind. I'm sure there's some others who were here 9 years ago, and perhaps longer.

Yeah. I joined way back when, but was even a lurker before that. It's been interesting to see this forum community evolve into something more tight-nit (and, honestly, now with a certain member MIA, less cliquey.) Still can't believe it's been about 10 years. x.x

I joined this forum when I was 15, and now I'm nearly 22 myself. I lurk on these forums a lot, even though I don't post very often. I had just mentioned the other day to a friend of mine that I've been on these forums for nearly 7 years.

I have to actually post to look at my join date here. (Or look at my profile but this is easier).

I posted on Alla before this, but the first forum I ever posted on I joined in March 2004, while I was pregnant with my oldest son in the Army and I couldn't do shit all day but browse the internet and type memos once in a while. That forum is still around but after a change in management, there was an exodus of the regulars to a new forum with a similar name and the same make up. I posted there (at the new forum) about a year before I got tired of the people.

I joined BG in 2008 and it feels like I've been there much longer. BG and this forum are the only two I still frequent.

I've been here since FFXI beta. Truth is, I've been banned several times... But I think I can credit this forum for giving me the resources to mature and learn to argue properly.

I applaud you for this revelation. It takes a hell of a person to admit faults with themselves as well as the steps that it took them to change. Not a lot of people have the capacity to admit when they're wrong.

You and I don't have a good track record of being on the same page or getting along too well, but I admire this comment more than anything you've ever written.
