Yeah pretty much. I was 12 when my grandmother died and that's when I truly remember that my depression began (along with the onset of puberty, which never helps matters).

21 years later and I'm finally starting to regain some of my happiness but not without its setbacks.

Okay so as you all know I have been dealing with the misspelling of my name for pretty much as long as I've worked here, so I updated my signature in my work e-mail thus:


Today, I get an e-mail from someone who noticed it and found it amusing:


It does appear to be working though, I've actually gotten a few people to apologize for saying my name wrong.

I appreciate the fanservice as much as the next guy but I gotta wonder why they pulled out something so random. It's not like he doesn't have a fair amount of canon (pun intended) or at least plausible powers they could've used.



Alternatively, they could've called in Proto Man. I hope he's an assist trophy at least!

(EDIT: I am glad they didn't forget Mega Man Volnutt though.)

And yeah they could have gone with a number of options. Hell even the stupid pogo stick would have been funny XD

Calling in Duo as an assist would have been pretty awesome. Or simply have him upgrade to Mega Man X (since X basically was his successor) for a short time and go nuts with super charged plasma blasts.

Personally I'd love to seem just go into some kind of overload and unleash every last freaking weapon he's ever had (or just one of the many "time freeze" abilities)

It's kinda disappointing to me to see another "GIANT FUCKIN' LAZER!!" smash instead of something more creative. I mean, SSB is about fun, so I don't see how they're making this more interactive than "point laser at target, have correct timing"

Also, Aks' email signature looks so unprofessional. As do most. Wouldn't it be nice if people were forced to use their business cards as email signatures.

And to be fair, I don't really work in a professional environment. We wear casual clothes (jeans, t-shirts, etc.) and we don't generally interact with the public. So I don't see why I would need a business card.

And if the only way I get to show any bit of personality through a bland medium such as e-mail is via my signature, then so be it. (And obviously it looks better without the colored blocks.) We don't even interact personally with 99% of the people we work with because we have so many stations across the country.

Also, found out today 1- There's a village in China with my name on it. Awesome. Totally want to go there someday. 2- There's a street on the south side of the island, also with my name on it. Totes road tripping my way out there as soon as I get a scooter
