Essentially:
1- Fans of the Urawa soccer club attend a game, hold up a banner reading "JAPANESE ONLY"
2- The staff fail to do anything about this until after the game
3- For whatever reason (it's not stated in the article), J League finds out about this
4- They are so upset by the racial discrimination, lack of handling by the club, and subsequent damage to the league's image that they decide to punish the club
5- Club's punishment is having to play a game without selling tickets (as in, no audience, and they lose money having to run the stadium without profits received)
It's really nice to see a group in Japan (or really, pretty much anywhere in Asia) taking action on racial discrimination. It's one of those bizarre things that makes you feel like you're living in the 70s, where everything is supposed to be clean and modern, and suddenly there's this thing that you thought didn't even exist anymore.
