Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
The nerve of that brat talking on the phone while in class.
Silent texting is barely ok, but actually talking right in front of the teacher? He was really asking for a good YouTube video, wasn't he? XDsigpic

I've visited this site almost every day since I signed up, and even though I don't post often, it makes me smile when I click the "New Posts" button and see a ton of unread posts.

Things might be easier now. It doesn't meant people are smarter, though.

Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
Today was my only day off this week, and I got a shitload done around the apartment, finally getting the entire move complete and putting everything away save for a few things I've just left in my truck purely for lack of anywhere else to put it. (This place is a slight bit smaller than my last, but it's four miles to work, as opposed to 26.)
So I got all that done, which felt good, sat down to have a beer, and got a call from Boss Lady. I was called in by one of the high-high-high higher ups, because Boss Lady, him, the temporary Scheduler and the previous Scheduler were in another lengthy meeting about the upcoming Republican National Convention, which is a HUGE concern for us. I've been pulling 55+ hour weeks since April, filling in wherever I'm needed, and pretty much invaluable.
Well, finding out that I was requested by name to come in - by the person I'd found out today would be doing the interviewing for the position I'm after - well, that made me feel damn good, and being so damn appreciated by Boss Lady for all the extra time I put in (on my only day off, no less!) also felt damn good.
So yeah, I worked 3 hours on my only day off. I will easily hit a 60+ hour week. And I'm so damn good at my job that they couldn't think of anyone else (who was already there, or willing) to come in, they called me. After all the bullshit I went through two years ago about feeling like no one gives a shit about me ... I'm the one they needed.
Yeah.sigpic

Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
The fact that in 2 weeks or so, I will acquire enough funds to finally achieve the thing I've always wanted to do.
Build my first gaming PC.
Of course, probably a month after that because I'm a cheap bastard and will probably try to hound on good deals for components, but the fact my goal is closer than say, a year, is nice to know.Originally posted by YygdrasilOriginally posted by NanditoPonies.

Let's have a PC building party!
I'm gonna have to start researching parts to build a new rig soon. It's time to make the jump and join the modern world with a 64-bit system and a system that isn't half a decade out of date.Server: Midgardsormr -> Quetzalcoatl -> Valefor
