Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
You know a Distant Worlds concert is awesome when you see Nobuo Uematsu play Dark World on his keyboard. I am forever jealous of the person who got to sit next to him in the audience (as well as my friends who got to meet him).
Overall, the concert was great. Hearing Memoro de la Stona - Distant Worlds was amazing (major applauds go to Desiree Frahn for the beautiful voice), I was surprised they played Clash on the Big Bridge (it was eargasm material) as well as You're Not Alone. OH and of course, Opera "Maria and Draco" was performed splendidly.

I was bitching to my dad via text about my insurance rates going up - by what I consider to be an exorbitant amount - and mentioned that I may drop comp and just go minimum. His response? "If you go minimum you have to drive like mother theresa." looooool As pissed as I was about the insurance thing, that made me laugh hard.

Took the group home to go see a performance of The Wizard of Oz today. I think I've finally figured it out. The Wicked Witch mixes cleaning solutions! That'll learn her...

I went with my mother, Aunt, Brother and his Gf to view my nephew in the funeral home.
Last night I was unsure how it would go, I was feeling emotional and anxious over it, Today all the way there I felt the same. I went into the room and could see him and as soon as I did I instantly felt calm and peaceful. I felt a bit tearful but I didn't cry.
I see bodies a lot through work and thankfully my expeience with the death of children is minimal. But he was lovely colour his cheeks so soft. I'm going back on thursday before the funeral so I can hold him.
I still can't believe how well my family has coped pullling together. 14 weeks premature to be taken 19 days later, If there is a big man upstairs I don't know how such cruel torment can be justified as part of some big plan, test or lesson to learn when all I see is an malevolent being that has no right to judge me.

I think I'm going to give bacon pancakes a go.
There's sweet and savoury pancakes around and I have seen it with bread too with fruit in it, chopped spicy sausage "Chorizo" so I imagine something can be fashioned along the lines of pancakes you know like when making an omelette and mixing it all in the jug before cooking.
Ty bbq this is just what I need lol.
Now off for some experimental cooking lol.

As most of you probably know, I used to dance. That said, I enjoy watching dance shows.
My new obsession is Dance Moms on Lifetime - which is a channel I would never watch otherwise. So while I was watching some TV tonight this great promo came on for the season premiere of Dance Moms, which was a spoof of Flashdance.
Fucking amazing. Really put a smile on my face after the shitty week I've had.
They had posted the recipe used but I can't find it any more. It mostly involved letting bacon soak in your ice cream mix overnight before freezing it if I remember right.
