I just made a search for today's posts just like I've done thousands of times before. Then for some reason noticed the "Privacy Statement" link at the bottom of the page.

So I click on it.

I was literally ROFL'ing for 5 mins.

For the first time in my life I was asked to play League of Legends. I'm not too fond of the hype of the game, but I went to the website and looked it up, checked out some gameplay, it seems, alright so I downloaded it. I've yet to play against someone and I just keep repeating the tutorial again over and over. My friend who convinced me to play it is asking for me to play regularly and even threw in the deal that he'd give me his old account after playing with him for like a week. What is on the account I don't know, but it may be better than what I have which is a Level 1. I wouldn't mind the account, but it would seriously kill the fun in earning stuff I guess. I mean I'm not too fond of castle defense games due to the skill level of players to player, but League seems like something I can in short play around with and have fun. He said he runs with a small group and they just run games against bots. So I don't think it'd be too bad. I watched some Live games last night and they seem to go on for awhile, 15, 20, 30 minutes a game.

Indeed, it is quite fun, but I'm surprised he gave you an older account. As your summoner level gets higher, you will face a lot more experienced players. (Well, won't be a problem if you just play Co-op vs AI all the time. Which is just as fun.)

EDIT: Oh, read that wrong. Play with him for a week first. Yeah, that sounds good. Unless his old account is around 20-30, that should be plenty of time to have already got the jig of the game.

Part of the fun is all the different champions. Whenever his free week is up, I defiantly recommend Ziggs. *Points to avatar* He is so fun and insane.

Matches in League of Legends range from 15 to 60 minutes. It mostly depends on the size of the match.

Tell your friend to grow some balls and stop playing against AI.

Well we're casual players, so I don't expect to be tournament material. I haven't gotten the mechanics yet, but it feels like I am playing Baulders Gate online. Never played DOTA or DOTA 2 or any DOTA related game except League.

Then I've got some good news and some bad news for you. The good news is that at level 30, you can choose between Ranked and non-ranked matches. The bad news is, whichever one you choose you'll still run into people who play too competitively, don't give enough fucks, are downright terrible, or are Brazilian. Once you understand the mechanics behind each lane and what each champion can do, you'll have a good understanding of what each role entails and how to perform it well. Regardless, people will still complain, fling accusations with little cause, and have tantrums like children. If your friend offers you his account, I'd turn it down and take your time learning the game while you move up the ranks. If you feel like you are that person who's ruining your team's chances of winning, just pull it back a little and play more cautiously. If the loss is inevitable, let somebody else do the dieing.
