Now it's back to Old Nyzul where SCH and RDM are the only viable healers for Nyzul and WHMs...Well at least they have Abyssea now...

I've never done Neo Nyzul, but back when I had a ye olde Nyzul static we had a White Mage as our healer.

We would bring a WHM and a RDM and four DDs, the WHM would get Refresh at the start of every floor then the RDM and two DDs would go one way and the WHM and the other two would go the other. Made the floors where you had to clear all enemies a lot easier.

This was back before fillmode was the thing, to. It wasn't necessary back then if your group could communicate.

Half of the time it was RDM (sometimes SCH, sometimes DNC), BRD (sometimes a COR) and 4 DDs (usually one is a COR) in old Nyzul in Kujata. I don't think I ever even saw a WHM in an old Nyzul group. The only time one was ever brought along was for the odd Floor 100 fight because the BRD refused to sub SCH or WHM.

In Neo Nyzul because everyone already has the floors done, people only ever do the boss fights due to it being guaranteed drops. For that you pretty much only need a SCH, BRD and 4 DDs.

This is true. I never recommended PUGing Nyzul. PUGs were only good for normal Assault and XP parties, and even then it was a crapshoot.

Oh, and what made me smile today would have to be "how much of a dork I am."

We had an Officer patrol training tonight, basically learning how to property handle and drive a patrol vehicle and understanding additional responsibilities of patrol. The e-mail sent up by the supervisor said something to the effect of, "So-and-so has been successfully patrol trained."

My first thought? Successful patrol is successful.

My co-worker who is most often scheduled to work alongside me is an older woman in her 60s. Her proficiency with computers aside, the woman could easily pass as my grandmother. In fact... she brings me lunch 2-3 times a week. Today is grilled cheese, chips and a (get this) Capri Sun.

She's awesome. I do all the work and she pays me in food. I see nothing wrong with this work relationship.

I only play FFXI after 9:00pm when all I'm doing is waiting for the Overnight aircraft to arrive. From 4:00am until 8:30pm there's a constant flow of planes in and out of our station that get backed up... delay and cause all kinda of fun. After the last outbound flight a 8:45ish we only have 2 other planes come in as overnighters that require very minimal attention. By 9:00 I'm by myself and doing a lot of waiting. Unless something seriously screws up the schedule (like weather, maintenance or Air traffic issues) things are nearly always done and filed by 8:45 and I start playing at 9:00.
