I think the people that took offense on youtube were the militant black types, You know because its racist to portray a black person being ignorant and making noise in a public place. The thing I found funny if they paid attention they'd know it wasn't that at all. It's a shame that so much space in the discussion part is full of junk like that. The people with genuine interest in the subject or series lose out on the chance of discussing the show and making the most of it especially if they are using it as a learning aid.

Don't forget the do gooders that complain about any sort of negative portrayal in a single scene. My Japanese is pretty very really, really, really awful but he doesn't seem to be that bad a guy at all later in the episode.

I bought a Beta Fish today, named him after Yydrasil due to his fighting spirit. I think he's already attempted to kill the Algae eater in his tank. If I stick a goldfish in there, it will balance it out I think. I read that Beta's don't fuck with goldfish.

Another thing that makes me smile.

Watching this anime again. I had forgotten how much I liked it, even with the extremely old animation and all it's flaws the story still makes me want to watch all the episodes in one go.

My favorite part of this video starts around 3:30 where Jessica Nigri re-joins the video to talk about her favorite cosplayers and it quickly goes downhill from there because, well, Jessica Nigri is a living, breathing distraction by nature. By which I mean you want to write a thank you note to God, evolution or both for letting her happen.

Remember a month or so ago when I applied for that better position at work?

I didn't get it, but the person who did get it is fucking it all up. Yeah, that's satisfying. It's one of those "I told you so" moments that are so few and far between. I'm enjoying it probably way more than I should be.

I mentioned this to my friend via text the other night and you know what he replied?

"Sounds like their problem."

Yeah, pretty much. Didn't want to hire me for it, so please don't come crying to me to fix it. And if they do, I'll have the even greater satisfaction of telling them to go fuck themselves!

Well Raydeus, if you're having a problem with kanji heavy texts, here's my advice: read fucking more of them and get used to it. "Kanji heavy text" is also known as "Japanese"

also I've been studying Chinese for nearly a year and a half now. If you're having kanji problems I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but a stroke ain't one.

But seriously, if you want to get used to reading Chinese characters, writing them more is great practice. And I mean, by hand, every fucking stroke (at least, until you start to pick up abbreviations that are actually in use). It's the best way to get your brain to sort through the minute differences between each and every little fucker, and to get your mind thinking in terms of radicals instead of individual strokes. If you don't mind the extra language, learning Chinese is great practice for this, since every fucking sentence is nothing but Chinese characters.
