Monster Girl Quest. It's a hentai game. One that's continually surprising me with actual touching story and character development. Also the cheesy, self-referential humor.

My new SSD. It makes a really big difference.

Even though I had a very decent RAID setup the improvement on smaller files makes things load in easily 1/3 of the time if not less.



Next step: RAID SSD! Someday, this was expensive enough for now. <_<;

So did you swap everything out for SSDs, or do you still have hdds in there as well?

I've been toying with the idea of using a SSD for my next build, but I'm not really sure how to make use of it since there's that whole "you only get X number of writes and then it's toast" thing I keep hearing about.

Yep, I only replaced the RAID setup I had for C: with the SSD (512GB.) Everything else remained the same.

Also, SSDs last way longer nowadays so you shouldn't worry much about it unless you are planning on keeping temp files or virtual memory in it, and even then I doubt it wouldn't affect you much. My setup has all temp files in another HDD and my documents and videos in separated (much bigger) HDDs so the reinstall probably took around 5hours with updates an all.

I just had some Jehovah's Witnesses drop by who were respectful of my time and not at all pushy. If more people who came knocking on my door had these qualities, I wouldn't mind them nearly so much.

I met up with my grandfather toady for the first time in four and a half years. His vacation was ending just as I returned from mine - he was visiting friends in a nearby town - and I met up with him at the airport, ate at Friday's, and caught up.

Now to get ready for work.

Just went to the other side of my terminal to see my friend Adam board his plane to Chicago Ohare. He passed his medical exam for the Navy a few days ago and today he ships out for basic. I won't see him for another 9 weeks, but it'll be good for him... I guess.

Even though it sucks to see a friend join the armed forces, it consoles me to know that he won't be working a dead end job and couch surfing anymore. At least he'll get to study something he wants to and earn a decent paycheck while our great nation breaks his spirit.
