Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
I take it you don't have much experience with woodworking. That looks like a really simple job. I mean they're holding the whole thing together using wood glue for goodness' sake. No dove-tailing or biscuit jointers or anything, just wood glue.
Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
I have 2 weeks of vacation saved up... and I want to use it in case my application to the IBEW goes through and I end up leaving this place... so I've been looking for little projects to do during my time off. This is one of those things. I'm going to make an afternoon of it in the basement. I needed a new shelving system in the office anyway. This was just perfect for the space.
@Mezlo: Cid is right, man. This job is cake. 2-3 hours... tops.
It's also a Twilight fanfic with renamed characters.
Heh. It's pathetic but largely true. I'm guilty of reading the first half of the first book before deciding that I'd rather give myself a paper cut across the eyes than continue.
Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
I've never actually read any of the Twilight Novels so I really can't comment. But a book with erotic scenes aimed at 30-something women is newsworthy?

Moral of the story: It's ok for an old man to have sex with an underage girl as long as the old man looks young.
PS > Angel was the last cool Vampire. And it went downhill from there.
PPS > Remember Kindred? I thought that show was awesome at the time, even though I don't remember much about it by now. And wiki says it was cancelled after 8 episodes?.
PPPS > It's like that old show "It's like. You know." With Jennifer Grey (only actor I remember the name because she was playing herself on the show) short lived too, yet great fun.

If you don't understand, 50 Shades of Grey is the fastest-selling paperback novel of all time. It's also a Twilight fanfic with renamed characters.
I kept hearing about this 50 Shades nonsense on Twitter some time ago; my reaction to looking up the details (on that very Wiki page, might I add) can be summarized as follows:
"This seems inter--oh wait, male-dom. Boring!"
From what I hear, I wasn't far off the mark, either.
Relevant to the thread, I hope this reply made you smile, or at least chuckle.

Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
From what I understand, women read with their emotions, not with their eyes. So it didn't matter that the book read like a teen-aged kid wrote it in a week. I bet I could write similar stuff.
He grabber her by the shoulders and pulled her in close. And ripped her shirt off in one jerk. He slid his lips down her bare chest, and gave her a huge zerbert. He put it in her butt in the bathroom supply closet. "Smooth move," he thought, because it was filled with toilet paper. He was going to need some toilet paper.
