Oh, and also, while watching Tuesday's NCIS last night (I downloaded it because I was at work), I laughed so hard when Skyrim was brought up and McGee made the "arrow to the knee" joke. It made my night.

It's not terrible, I just have really bad luck. Whenever I'm working the most hours, those are the days they send everyone under the sun to check everything. I'd rather have pest control come by than have cockroaches. I hate cockroaches.

I'm going to put a sign on my door that reads, "ATTENTION: I work third shift. DO NOT knock on this door before 3PM unless it's an EMERGENCY!"

But I am moving, because I need to be closer to work. I hate the drive more than anything, honestly.

being up until 3am making an emergency birthday cake and snacks/treats for one of my patients to have a little tea party with her family. I even pulled a few strings to gain access to an unused office space and I tarted it up with a few plants and pictures and streamers so it didnt look like an old office and so her visitors could have a little privacy from the ward.

She's 98 and still fairly with it. I made it like a gigantic flower and really vibrantly cloured pink because her eyes are going.
She loved it and could tell what it was. Her relatives loved it too. They were amazed by the effort I went to for her and couldnt thank me enough.

Sadly my little joy was riuned I'm now off to the rl peeve thread lol.

          "Yellow is fair game."

I finally understand the appeal of that statement after tonight.

After the 2pac video getting spammed on Youtube, this at least makes up for all the spam.

While leaving a voicemail for one of our repeat customers that brings a large group every year. (Imagine this in the thickest New York accent you can)

"Hey, this is (his name). I finally learned how to use a phone. But, if I don't get back to you in 24 hours, I guess I didn't (beeep)"

Made me smile so much I called him back so my boss could here the VM.

Someone called my Red Mage badass tonight. Not sure I agree with that assessment, but it made me smile.

What are you talking about Cid? Badass has always been RDM's synonym.

Saying Badass RDM is like saying watery water, or airy air.

Oh, well that makes more sense then. See they made it sound like mine in particular was badass, but Red Mage as a synonym for badass makes a lot more sense.

I thought this was pretty well-done.

It's funny. Back before FFXI was a thing you could play, but everyone was full of hype and speculation, I used to frequent the Eyes On Final Fantasy.com forums. The regulars always made fun of this one guy for wanting to be the mage class that's good at neither school of magic. It was all pretty tongue-in-cheek, but it's interesting what a 3D chapeau will do for the popular perception of a job.

From my experience with other games, the character who spreads him/herself thin with types of magic was always the one that ran out of it the fastest. To that point, I always find that, when I have a mixed mage in my parties, I always end up reserving MP for healing. It's different in some games like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance or TA 2 (haven't played the original) where battles are long and drawn out and conditions could change at any time. But aside from specialized bosses, the types of enemies you run into in the main Final Fantasy series are often too simplistic to make having a mixed mage, as opposed to a specialized mage, worthwhile.

Then again there's the whole Refresh thing, in a game where MP is basically the life blood of your party. Not like the console games where you pretty much found an ether ever few battles.
