Ordered a new replacement monitor today to replace the one I had that burned out. After going a long time using a 3-screen panoramic setup... it's hard to go back to only 2.

It's like only having 2 testicles instead of 3... it's just not the same.

My weight lifting gloves that I bought ages ago for doing tech work backstage smell like cloves. It made tonight's workout more enjoyable.

Got called a smug asshole for yelling at a guy in his late 30's for being horrible at doing ANY sort of work involving computers, typing, putting words together to form sentences, and making false promises.

If being smug means that I expect someone 20 years older than me to have a decent work ethic, and be able to speak and write in proper English, then yes I am one smug motherfucker.

I've gone to battle against nearly every member of my management staff here for similar reasons. I bust my ass to do the work assigned to me and do so with enough time left over to write here on the forum.

I do this all while listening to people calling me all day asking me to do their work for them.

I get that management can delegate to me all they want, but doing so to the point where they no longer have any responsibilities at all and can just sit there playing Angry Birds on their IPad... that's when I lose it.

I've yet to be actually reprimanded for insubordination, mainly because I'm speaking nothing but the truth. Should I opt to take my grievances to HR, they would all be screwed.

I'm the youngest member of the staff here... and I'm not only their top OPS agent, but likely the only one who knows how to use a computer past the programs that make us learn.

Manager: "The printer is out of paper! Oh Noes! We're all going to die!"
Me: "I'll just print it to the office upstairs and have them run it down to me"
Manager: "What? How?"
Me: "Networked Printer Database"
Manager: *blink.... blink*
Me: "Forget it, just run upstairs and get it"

And that was just today...
