President Shinra
"How long will the research take?"

Hojo
"Probably 120 years. It's probably impossible to finish in our
lifetime. Or in the lifetime of the specimen too, for that matter."

(Hojo turns away from the table.)

Hojo
"That's why we're thinking of breeding her. Then we could create
one that would withstand our research for a long time."

Hojo
"Are you going to kill me? I don't think you should."
"The equipment here is extremely delicate. Without me, who could
operate it? Hmm?"

Cloud
"Ugh."

Hojo
"That's right. I recommend you think things out logically before
you make any rash moves."
"Now, bring in the Specimen!"

(The red creature from the 67th floor is lifted into the tube. Cloud,
Barret, and Tifa run to the tube. The creature twitches its tail. Aerith
runs to the glass.)

Aerith
"Cloud, help!"

(Cloud turns to Hojo.)

Cloud
"What do you think you're doin'?"

Hojo
"Lending a helping hand to an endangered species... Both of them
are on the brink of extinction..."
"If I don't help, all these animals will disappear."

When working with people in the UK you do quite quickly learn how to both be incredibly polite and incredibly insulting to people all the the same sentence without a change in tone of voice. You also get very good at telling when people are lying their arses off.

It's also why I can't stand Netflix Customer Service. I always get Americans who seem to happy to help I immediately put the phone down because I mistake the niceness for sarcasm and enter a strange state of feeling insulted and blind panic that someone is being straight up with me.

If you have ever worked as any sort of chef you will know exactly why they have short fuses. I worked as a chef to get myself through College and I NEVER want to do that shit again.

Cooking hundreds of meals a day and a mistake made by anyone usually means your head on a plate. Nine times out of ten it's the serving staff doing something idiotic or being anal which means because something if their fault it is also your fault because they didn't write down an order correctly or didn't bother to ask if something could be changed. Or they pissed off a customer and you have to leave the kitchen, thus making everyone else have to wait longer, to clean up their mess.

And people ask why I never, ever want to work in a kitchen again.
