I admit it seems trite and petty to be concerned about being by yourself on your birthday. But in general, I often feel like a person that people don't remember when it's time to go out and have fun. It's not something I used to think about until this year. Was mostly a loner who had loner hobbies (for others, video games can be social. For me, it's mostly a 1 player thing)

But in the middle of last year, I met that really great group that I'm still seeing twice a month for board games. It's actually a pretty small, tight-knit group. Feeling like I belong with to a circle of friends is actually a new experience for me. And I find I really enjoy it. You guys even know about how I asked someone out for the first time (though you also know the not-quite-satisfactory outcome of that).

Never used to think about wanting to be with friends on things like my birthday because, truth is, there really weren't any. There's my best friend in Germany, but then being in Germany kind of complicates things. The two I saw Zero Dark Thirty with are probably the two I'm closest to in the group. So it felt pretty great to have the chance to spend some time with them. One of them is actually the guy I asked out. Really a good guy so I'll just get over it and leave things where they are with him. In fact, all of them are great people and I feel fortunate to have met them.

When someone remembers it was your birthday 7~ months ago, and they remembered that they completely forgot it, and they buy you a pizza. Hell yeah, pizza!

I'm remembering your birthday right now! Mmmm.... memories...

I should add, this is in very broken English. I am speaking simple English for his sake, but yes, the fact that he's trying is so awesome!

I was going to have a beer tonight, but unfortunately, they stop selling alcohol on this side of the bay at midnight, which I did not know until today. Oops. When I lived in Tampa, it was 3AM. So I will have to stop out and buy some on my way home from dinner with my friend tomorrow night. Because driving 25 minutes one way just to buy a 12 pack is a little wasteful.

playing with sugarpaste andmaking a birthday cake for my boyfriends dad.
The "mother in-law" bought me a turntable, wilton rolling pin and rolling guides for christmas so I'm about to take it for a spin and create a golf themed cake decorated with fondant.

I'm about half way there and I'm getting nervous about presenting it lol.
I hope to post a pic of it in a few hrs /salute.

I've been working on learning how to fiddle from a couple of lessons from my Uncle. I've been working on the Road to Lisdoonvarna for awhile now. I've got most of it memorized and now it's just working on getting the fingering down and then speed. I've spent the last little bit trying to transcribe Angeline the Baker into tab format so that I can have something else to practice. It's going pretty well, but there is a little bit that is giving me trouble towards the end, I can't quite put my finger on what's going on.

Still though, this is the first song I've learned entirely from ear and watching someone play it, granted over and over again on youtube, but still I'm pretty excited! I'm starting to be able to pick out notes and stuff!!! Woohoo!!

                          Edit:

                          Just figured it out!!!

You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be misqouted and then used against you.

                              The cake turned out ok,
Sean's dad loved it and everybody said it was nice and moist and tasted good.

My figurine turned out fairly good too, The people who made wallace a gromit have nothing to fear though lol.
                              I'm quite pleased with myself.
