Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
Re: Little things that make you smile - the anti-peeve thread.
I generally keep my phones for two years. I don't buy brand new due to cost, and because I have been with Sprint for a while, every two years I get $150 off my new phone. I haven't paid more than $100 for a phone in ten years.
Tech lasts as long as you want it to. No one forces you to upgrade just because a new phone came out.
And this is coming from someone who dislikes Apple's business practices.
No. I'm just tired of people going. Much like people go PC Master Gaming Race. When I can expla--You know what. I'm not even going to get into it this early, its 8:18 in the god damn morning...-shuffles off to watch anime-

Funnily enough that article sums up why I prefer PCs at the moment. Apple hardware is pretty and performs well against PCs that have a similar spec, but get blown completely out of the water by PCs in the same price range but that is about it really.
Apple really needs to start allowing users to upgrade the hardware in their machines which would be a good start but I can't see them doing this.
One thing I do like about my iPhone 4 is that the 5 is so unpopular, the 4's price is still holding so if I ever get stuck anywhere, I could quite easily sell the phone at a pawn shop or something and use the cash to get home and buy a brand new phone.
