Comic Sans isn't nearly as bad as some of the script fonts or trope fonts like Exocet, but it's far more ubiquitous.

While I can't speak for most others, I did attend school for three years for Interior Design. Didn't have much to do with graphic design, but I was required to take all of your basic art classes (drawing, painting, perspective, color theory, mixed media, and even working up to Photoshop) before moving onto classes in my major. I honestly dislike Comic Sans because it's almost like it's trying to look handwritten but fails, and its fakeness irks the hell out of me.

There are plenty of other really awful fonts out there, though. Comic Sans is just the most well-known because everyone has it on their computers and someone always uses it. Thus, it garners the most attention/hate. There are plenty of fonts I just can't stand to use. Impact, for example, has become so overused in memes that the only thing I can possibly use it for is the creation of image macros.

Honestly, I'm just curious what it looks like compared to a Comic Serif font.

Having a friend message me to ask if I'd make them a cake for their wedding reception in August.
It's just a small gathering and they dont want anything too traditional or fancy.
I'm thrilled to even have been considered let alone asked.
