It beats getting almost all the way to the zone line for the last headstone you need for the pilgrimage... and getting shanked by the ass dragon with no form of RR on.

That's what I was worried about most when I finally got to the right place. Had that happened, I would have had a different FML entry...

Of all the times I've had on this game... one of the few that sticks out the most to me is the day that happened to me. I had managed to find my way without a map all the way to that last fire wall... and as I sat there waiting for my moment to make a mad dash... the damn dragon had apparently aggrod me... and I was forced into a battle I knew I wouldn't win... I just hoped I could hold it off long enough for the wall to come down... and for me to haul ass out of there. I damn near made it. Unfortunately... without RR on, I sat there and waited for the possibility of someone kind enough to raise me in that obscure section of the zone. After about 20 minutes, I got a /tell from the leader of my LS.... a guy named Swisha... who said "you need any help in there?". Long story short, he trekked all the way through the jungle, through the volcano and finally to me with only 10 minutes left on my timer, all to make sure that my efforts were not fruitless. It's probably the single nicest thing anyone has done for me in the game. It took him damn near 40 minutes to get to me just so that I could get the last headstone.

But yeah.... "Pre-ordered" Heroes of Might & Magic VI off ubisoft's store, but had to pay in full. Also spent eight hours yesterday waiting for a single Lumbering Lambert pop.

Latest I can think of and it's not FFxi related but still in the realm of vid-games:

I got about 5'ish hours into AssCreed II. I had the hideout completely decked out (aside from all art) and a bunch of chests and 'whatnot' found and then I went to continue... and I had a corrupt save file. No retrieval possible. I had start over... I still haven't gotten the courage to restart from scratch and it's got to have been over 6months by now... FML

Biggest FML that I remember having to do with vid-games had a possitive aspect in my life. I was a achievement whore. I was replaying Mass Effect I so that I could get the 'Distingquished Service Medal' achievement for completing it on the hardest setting. The achievement states that you can't switch difficulties during gameplay and there is a option in the opening menus for switching the settings. So, I switched it in the menu. I played all the way through and didn't get the achievement. Long f'n game, yeah? Well, seems the option in the menu system doesn't work and you had to switch it during gameplay during the opening fight "before landing on Eden Prime" ... it killed any need I felt for those useless pts. FML

Logged in today from work... like I do. Found out the the ISP here that usually hiccups the internetz every hour on the hour isn't actually doing it anymore. So yay to that!

On a related note.... it now seems to be sporatic... FML
