My whole building just shook. It was my first experience like that. Kinda gave me vertigo.

My brother is in Richmond right now. I know it wasn't a huge earthquake, but all the cell service is down.

Ya, east coast cell service is saturated. Stupid people being stupid. Seriously, if you're ok and *nothing happened* the same is probably true all over.

And if there was something that happened, stupid people are now preventing them from calling for help.

Was in Richmond when it happened. Really loud rattle as it shook the buildings coming down the street. Apartment shook for a bit. I just stood in the doorway to my kitchen, as people fled out of my building, chuckling to myself.

I have cell service again. Honestly, Irene* bothers me more than what just happened.

I was in the basement of my office building. It was pretty intimidating seeing the ceiling shake like the whole building is about to come down on you. The urge to run out of there as fast as possible was pretty overwhelming.

One of our guys did. I think he was trying to be funny, since he's seemingly adept at that, but he took off so quickly that it's hard to tell if he did it out of fear or the love of inspiring laughter in one's coworkers.

I've slept through 7.0s in my stays in Encinitas, CA.

I was driving when the quake hit today, on the way to check on my sister's dogs before work since she asked me to. The car was in motion when it happened, I didn't feel a thing.

But when I got in to check the dogs, the smallest one - Bootsy - sat on the top of the couch and looked terrified. The second smallest, Lucy, wouldn't leave the bedroom at all. Desi , the biggest, just bounded around and happily pounced me.

I got two of the three dogs to go outside for a bit and do their thing.

My mom did call me later to check on me and told me my relatives in VA were all right, just a little startled.
