I don't think those are Pacific times (at least not North American Pacific times). Yesterday morning when I got up (7:30am), the Colombia vs Sweden game was on. This morning at the same time, it was Norway vs Equatorial Guinea.

It looks like the times posted are local times in Germany. 3pm there is 6am Pacific Daylight time -- so those times are 9 hours ahead of PDT, 8 hours ahead of MDT, 7 hours ahead of CDT, 6 hours ahead of EDT ... and someone else can figure out the conversions for other places in the world.

and FIFA website is so lame. First of all, it's so spoilerific posting the final scores! How can people who haven't watched the stream enjoy the wonder and excitement if they already know who wins, mew??????

I mean what good is broadcasting rights for a match that won't be aired again? They really don't do reruns after the Live version, mew.

Always wondered about that myself. But it has to do with the mess FIFA and all the stations around the world have made about the broadcasting of the event.

Depending on the country matches are broadcasted twice (sometimes 3 times) to accommodate different time zones, but after that you can never watch the games again. And I have no idea why they never release matches on video format, but it has to do with the royalties and all that complicated stuff, I think.



TL;DR It seems it would be too much of a pain to try making the games available on demand for some reason.


PS > Hopefully YouTube will at least be able to keep all the Copa America games uploaded this time around, seeing how they are uploading full (past) games already. If it works well they may start keeping games up for everyone to watch later on. Maybe even future the world cups.
