I actually agree with a lot of what's in that video. I picked up a FB account almost at gunpoint, but I keep no information on it beyond my name, share none of it with strangers, and only accept friend requests from people I've met in person.

It's not your facebook page that gives away your personal information. It's the pages of friends and family. Sure your profile might just have your name on it but with your name and the profiles of your family and friend I could quite easily find out plenty about you if I wanted to.

Then again if you live in the UK all I need is a name and I can find out more stuff about you than you would want me to know.

If you think that being off social networking sites protects your personal information then you are pretty delusional.

Probably, but social networking sites make it a hell of a lot easier to find.

I honestly think Facebook is one of the biggest threats to anonymity on the internet out there.

Funny semi related story.

When facebook was pretty new (as mentioned before only for college students), i was at a bar with my roommates at the college I went too. Typically noise bar…loud music, crowded, could barely hear anything…blah blah blah. We were talking to a couple a chicks and eventually decided it was time to go. one of the girls my buddy was talking to wrote her name down on a piece of paper and told him to facefuck her.

The whole way home we were like…wtf did she say? Did that just happen?

When we told our 3rd roommate about it later, he said I think she said ‘facebook her…it’s new…idiots’.
