Last night I was informed that my Great Grandmother has passed away at the age of 97. I got the call last night after leaving work... and attended the wake this morning. Over the course of the day today, I've been really down... although I don't like to let on that I am.

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you here on the forum that I talked with... not just today... but almost every day for the past few years. With the exception of a few moments of tension... I have had nothing short of a smile on my face talking to you guys.

Nothing about my convorsations with anyone today was specifically special... but it helped me to take my mind off of things for a while.

Today was a rough day on me... but the distraction that this forum gives me mademe feel a lot better a lot faster.

So... without any of you having to do much of anything out of the norm... I just wanted to say thanks.

I appreciate all your nice words guys... but I'm really a lot better. It doesn't take me long to see the bright side of things.

I was in school to become a Minister after-all. I got a lot of training in grief counseling. I picked up a thing or 2.

Either way I was just saying thanks, lol.

Both of my grannies would be about 70~ atm so I'm thinking I might be winning in this competition.

My grandma on my dad's side is 98, and she has her own teeth. Though with recent family troubles I'm not sure how it's going to affect her. Sorry to hear about your loss Yyg, and though I don't really post here that often (though I lurk a LOT) I'm glad to hear that you're doing better.

yeah loosing a loved one like that always sucks....... my Grandfather was the first to really hit me when he passed. I have to apologize though, *throws down a G-card* my Grandmother on my father's sided was 101. It is hard to bring us Cajuns down ;p

My grandparents are all gone. Some made it into their 90's but not all.
