Re: Official Bored at Work / Off-Topic Chat Thread II
I felt this was when I stumbled upon "The Walking Dead" Episode 1 a year back. Apparently the station was recapping all episodes in order to lead up to the new season premier. It was one of those "I'm not going to go out and rent that movie, but if it's on TV I'll stop and watch the whole damn thing" kind of scenarios. I sat all day and burned through 14 hours of TV watching it all and then geeked out on the new season.
Likewise, I always heard buzz about Game of Thrones, but until around the same time period as I discovered Walking Dead I had ignored all of the claims because I didn't have the motivation to dedicate myself to a show that already had 2 seasons out. When I came to work one day, my coworkers were watching episode 4(?) where Tyrian gets taken to the Veil for judgement and I absolutely loved his character... despite him being depicted as a 100% irrefutable villain. I didn't know any better because I didn't have the whole story. That night I went home and flipped onto HBO On Demand and watched every episode.
TL;DR: I know that feels.
