Can you guys let the nerd rage die already? You haven't spent any money yet.
Well I'm officially sold to Sony for one reason. Kingdom Hearts 3. Also with the DRM Microsoft is pulling, they lost me as a potential customer. I also had issues signing into my Live account when the email that was attached to it got locked and I had to play phone tag with Microsoft to unlock it. The guy told me there is a whole "Team" of "Specialist" that deal with email locks. I called up Xbox and threatened to go to PS3. The guy moved data around and took matters into his own hands and bumped my issue up in the queue, had it resolved within the next day. Granted they never told me WHY my email was locked in the first place. I was amazed at how simple PS3 was....make an account name and...play games. xD I mean I'll get an Xbox One to sta--Wait...is that Elder Scrolls Online for PS4? Sorry, looks like my money is sticking to Sony since I can enjoy Bethesda content on it now. Not that I couldn't have done it on Xbox, it just was more fun discussing quest and stuff over Live.

No.
I consider it my responsibility to do what little I can to deter people from supporting a product that has the potential to cause serious harm to my hobby.

Dak, I'm waiting for the first 5 murders to happen over the new-gen consoles before I even pick one up. If I have to I'll have mine delivered in an armored truck to my house this year.

Boycotting does nothing. Losing a few thousand sales it pissing in the wind.
A full on backdraft with people not letting it slide however is effective. Just ask Bioware.
This isn't house-fire level of importance. It's not even drier lint fire. It's more like a hot stove, and those don't create backdrafts. Throw some cold water on it and move on.

You're going to try to cool down a stove with cold (AWFULLY SPECIFIC) water, and you're lecturing us about fire safety?
/no time or money for consoles, so I don't really have a horse in this race
//but microsoft doesn't care about yellow people, so I doubt I'll see much out here anyway

Everyone can't seem to afford it at the moment, I'm also kind of mad...I got a question for Cid. Is it possible to have 129 GB of RAM? Someone told me they had 4 Titans...processors I believe and 129 GB of RAM. They said they use it for a "server"? Why on earth would anyone need that much? They also said their server houses 2 i7 Processors (Which I can believe.)
As for the PS4/Xbox One deal, I got enough money from taxes to where I can buy one. But I'm going to hold off like I usually do, let the first day consumers enjoy their new consoles and wait for the feedback from how the system runs before I make a purchase. Just like how people got headaches from the 3DS on the first day, Xbox RRoD, PS3 Yellow Light, etc etc. Gonna keep an eye out for what MAY go wrong for the PS4/Xbox One.

Databases. That's the only possible answer I can think of. That said I've never encountered such a machine. The most we have in any of our servers is 32 GB of RAM if I recall correctly. Multiple CPUs in a server is pretty common from what I've seen.
