    Cursive is a wonderful way to conceal stuff in one's notes. All the grumbling about how stupid the software/network/server hamsters are goes in cursive so no one can see it if they happen to glance at my notebook.

          You could always encrypt the contents with a one-time pad. As a side bonus, you'll get really good at remembering the number of each letter within the alphabet.

            I may have made a new friend.

            Went to the pool today because it's OMGWTF hot out (though I do still plan to go for a walk/run and get my workout on) and this girl struck up a conversation. She's a full decade younger than I am but she seems cool. I'm so not outgoing at all, but maybe I can manage a friendship for a change. If nothing else, I have a new facebook friend.

              Today I learned that Janus is a Roman god with two faces, one facing the past and the other to the future, and is also associated with doors and gates. I wasn't aware Magus's real name was symbolic (although he's not called Janus in the Japanese version of Chrono Trigger.)

                  It is also where calling a two-faced person or hypocrite a "Janus" comes from and it is also a moon of Saturn.

                      My interview for the position at work is today.

                      I'm kind of nervous. Naturally, I want this to go well. I am just about finished getting dressed, I've gotten something to eat. The only thing I need to do now is go there and (unfortunately) use the work printer to print out my resume since mine decided it was going to run out of ink. I would buy more, but cartridges cost more than I have in my bank account at the moment.

                              It's quite archaic really but there are a lot of uses of it in Classic English Literature.
