You can give Texas's star on the national flag to Puerto Rico. We don't need your stinkin' star, we've got one of our own. In fact, we'll just go off and be our own country that's gonna be Americaner than yours. We'll be The Americanest State of America, and when we talk about America we'll just mean us and not the rest of you guys, so you can feel all slighted and dismissed like those folks on the continent under ours.

I would love to see PR admitted as a state, solely to see the road open to non-English states in the Union. Then we just let the states of Mexico disband their republic, absorb, and administer. At least the US isn't failing as hard.

We must have even numbers! I don't understand why FFXI is making more jobs, they had 20, it was a nice perfect even number. No more states. If we let one in, we need four more, at least. Though we should just bump it up to 9 and get sixty states. But no, no, no, no, no, no, no on 51.

And that flag - do not want. I like our flag the way it is. More than half a century with 50 states, it should stay.

It's probably not going to solve our problems. It's probably not going to make them any worse either. It's probably not going to change all that much, actually - we're already a US colony territory. At the very least we'd be treated like proper US citizens instead of being part of the US 98% of the time, but not when it comes to voting or buying music on Google Play or some other service that arbitrarily decides not to consider PR part of the US.

I do like that flag. Looks like a sand dollar.

On the way home I saw a billboard for a local HVAC company with a picture of a sad polar bear and the words "Getting too warm?" Considering polar bears are well on the way to endangered status as their sea ice migration paths vanish into our warming oceans, it's both cruel and hilarious. Didn't know whether to post as a peeve or anti-peeve so it's here.
