In other news: Feba lives in what is essentially a small box on the roof of an apartment building; a space he shares with the three tenants of the boxes around him. One of them told him they would be having a few friends over on the other side of the roof for a BBQ this evening. They did not say it wuld be at least 15, it would not be contained to that side of the roof, and they would be talking not-quietly until midnight.

toying with the idea of calling the cops, I could hear them from the street and all down the stairwell; I'm sure some of our neighbors are getting pissed too.

Also part of this, the four boxes share a single bathroom; which is usually not a big deal, everyone takes care of their crap. On the other hand, this guy's friends are not taking care of their crap, and it's getting damn nasty. ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION: Kill the party by taking a really long-ass shower, thus denying them all of the ability to pee.

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION II: walk to bathroom, lock door (it's a push button lock on the inside; we don't have the key to open it from the outside), hilarity ensues, landlord comes to unlock it in the morning.

Huh. So apparently I have a whole 7 days of free-time starting tomorrow.

So my monitor died this morning. It's been a long time coming now and I've needed an excuse to switch to a widescreen monitor and one that hasn't dimmed over the years.

Microcenter provided me with a snazzy 21" Asus widescreen monitor. I'm pleased with it so far, but now I've gotta fiddle with it to get just the right resolution.

This is the part where I tell you I've never played the Diablo series, then you all gasp in horror, then I tell you I've always been more of a console gamer and have a PC that can barely play TF2.
