So my bloodwork came back today. Apparently my Vitamin D levels fell through the floor so they're giving me crazy strong vitamin D supplments. 50,000 IU per week for those of you who know what that means.

Basically I live in a cave and don't see daylight often enough. What a surprise.

On the topic of "bizarre and questionably healthy thoughts," one of the people I follow on Twitter has mentioned, in quite explicit (and vaguely romanticized) detail, that he would like to die of radiation poisoning in Chernobyl reactor 4.

Said person makes constant use of avatars of the Touhou character Utsuho Reiuji, but this was the first I've seen him express any interest in nuclear mishaps beyond that (apart from something he repeated once about being born 72 days before the Chernobyl incident, 72 being the atomic number of the element Hafnium, which is used in nuclear control rods). It was pretty unreal; I can understand wanting to choose how you die (one could even consider that noble, in a twisted sense), but I'd first put priorities on how you'd want to spend the rest of your life.

At any rate, he seemed to have more sense than simply wanting to throw his life away (he said that he'd first want to take a vacation safely nearby with his girlfriend (who also follows him on Twitter!) and just geek out about it long before he'd make a second trip simply to die), but . . . I'm not sure if radiation poisoning works the way he thought it worked.
