Hiding your problems does feed to anxiety, but also it can lead to more problems if you share it. Its a double edged blade at times.

For me, if I where to speak up and say anything, they'd throw me into a psych ward, and never visit me like they did my brother. Those things fuck you up even more. :/

It sounds like your family is part of the problem.

I've been trying to move out, but its hard to really.

Especially when your brother owes you money as well, and have major medical bills coming up soon...

in response to what Dak posted, I commented to a friend of mine once that sometimes I get an urge to jump in front of trains; not even out of being suicidal, I'd rather not die, my life is pretty awesome, but simply because it feels as if trains are there to be jumped in front of. His reply was like "Oh, yeah, a lot of my friends have said that to me before. I feel the same way."

I think suicidal thoughts are actually much more common than society presents them as; and not merely limited to the suicidal. A lot of us are probably just a tad too curious and imaginative.

This sounds about right. Every so often I'll get, not so much an urge as just a wondering of what it would be like to just leap from the sidewalk into oncoming traffic or something equally dangerous or suicidal. It's not just limited to leaping to my death, but also self-mutilation in really weird ways that make my skin crawl just thinking about it.

Not stuff I'd ever act on, but it's always there in the back of my mind mumbling "what if".

I've never known that it was much more common than what I had thought it was. I've always been plagued by the thoughts, and just.... Not sure.

An unsourced line on the wikipedia page for intrusive thoughts claims that "most people" have them.

In that case I'm going to stop having them then. Too mainstream.

I have those thoughts too... only not in a suicidal way. I've played too many video games and read too many comic books/fantasy novels to the point where I think about jumping off buildings/into traffic just to see if I could fly/stop a truck with my bare hands.

Suicide is for chumps. Besides... I want to live long enough to have my brain implanted in a cybernetic host-body.

What a surprise. Someone made a suggestion to Tak and he turned it down.

                              I'm shocked.
