Nope, it's actually Bimbo. Not sure if it actually comes from Mexico originally (I think it does), but since Bimbo means absolutely nothing in Spanish except for -wait for it- a brand of bread it is commercialized here as such.

Though it seriously puzzles me why they decided to commercialize it like that in the US. Unless they are confident there are enough people from Latin America living there so it isn't a big deal. <_<;

Bimbo is a brand in Puerto Rico as well, possibly the same company since the mascot is also a bear. Ours is orange, though, and they sell cheap cookies rather than bread.
