The winds have finally died down and its cold, we had 80mph winds all last night and this morning, went for a walk on the beach today after the storm had passed, you can see the windfarm their building off the coast quite clearly now.

Hmm. It was 72F (22C) this afternoon in Florida, USA. Here's a comparison shot taken from the local TV station cameras out on the beach here about 15 miles from me.



In other words: You should totally come visit!

I never understood why they're even bothering with wind power. She sheer cost of building, maintaining and operating those offshore farms, all paid for by the taxpayer, is ludicrously high compared to say, reopening Bradwell or letting EDF carry on with Sizewell C's opening.

In the big picture it's just going to be one massive waste of money to make Europe think we're being green.

OH WAIT!!! THERES A USE FOR THEM!!!!
