Why is a slinky fun when you are younger?

Why are video games fun?

Fun for one person, is not what fun is for another person. To me, it is just, fun. Just plain, fun. Do I HAVE to have a reason to enjoy something? Do I HAVE to have a reason why something is fun? Hell, I stay up all night long, JUST BECAUSE I CAN. No other reason, just because.

Why is a slinky fun when you are younger? Slinky is fun now, but I don't feel the need to wrap myself in it to feel 'normal.'

Why was playing in dirt fun? Again, I did not feel the need to wrap myself in dirt to feel normal, also it was not fun, I hate being dirty.

Why are video games fun? Again, I do not walk around as popular video game character because 'that's who I really am.'

Honestly, I'm not sure if you're being purposefully obtuse or just not even understanding what you are saying.
