If I could, and not get shot, or some other shit, I would walk around with furry ears, and a tail. A collar around my neck, and a chain attached to it, holding it. My clothes that of a "gothic" style, black and dark, with chains around the pants.
Have you considered moving to Japan?

My initial reaction was "Anything this pink has got to be either the best or worst thing ever."

Nothing personal, but I find that hilarious. If I saw a real dog walking itself down the street I think I'd die of laughter. I followed you up to the collar part, but the holding it yourself part...

If a collar is comfortable, you're doing it wrong.
Look, I'm not trying to judge you, guy. If that's how you want to dress, go for it. But 1.) Don't assume that that's how everyone else wishes they could dress, because it's not, and 2.) Understand that by choosing to do so, you are calling attention, both negative and positive to yourself. And it's that desire for attention that is part of the thrill of dressing so.

Alright .. I'll bite. Somefurry explain furries to me. Personally, if an otherwise attractive female or drawing of one happens to have animal ears and a tail I am not weirded out by that but neither do I particularly care for it. But, I can more easily understand someone self-identifying as another gender and feeling more comfortable with different organs than I could understand someone identifying as anthro and being more comfortable with different ears and a tail.

Well, I have no one that wants to hold the chain. Usually because that means they are my master. And usually pet and master is usually thought of in a sexual way most of the time.

Not to start an argument, but I said it wrong the first time, and corrected my self. You still don't understand what I meant when I said that.
As for the wanting to dress that way, why is it a call for attention? If I like it, and it feels comfortable, why not... you know... just do it, because you can?

Being serious this time, this kind of rationalization was applied to openly gay people hardly a decade ago. I wouldn't be so quick to assume it's that simple.

I thought you were in a relationship. Is she not into it?
Re: Official Bored at Work / Off-Topic Chat Thread II
Maybe I don't understand because you're not explaining it very well.
It is a call for attention because it's a costume. I don't mean to go all "societal norms" on you here, but seriously. Do you actually dress that way? If so, what is the response? If not, why not? Is it because of the fear of the response?
