Re: Official Bored at Work / Off-Topic Chat Thread II
Browsing through a technology market (think of those conventions with lots of vendors selling all manner of electronics and computers, only in one building year round.), looking for an mp3 player.
Thinking to myself, "goddamn, some of these are impressive. If they weren't lacking the Apple logo, you'd never know they weren't iPods; at least powered off."
The last guy I get to, and only the last guy feels the need to yell at me as I look at one model. "IS TAIWAN BRAND! NO IS IPOD! NO IS IPOD!". I'm just standing there all "dong"
bonus: I go in. I have forgotten my abysmal shopping vocabulary, such as 'how much?' and 'the cheapest'. I say "Cheapest" in English. The clerk goes "Oh no! We no have!". The person next to him mutters something. He goes "OH WE HAVE WE HAVE."
