We're actively encouraged to browse if there isn't any work and as long as we're not watching any pr0n or anything.

What I'd really like is to be able to play WoW (or even Hearthstone) on my laptop when it's slow, but I doubt I can really get away with that.

Students in Taiwan Have Stormed and Occupied the Legislative Yuan

so this is a thing. I have some classmates and a neighbor who have been outside, helping to provide what resources they can, and probably mostly just gawking and social networking about it. As far as I know, nobody I know has been inside. Sounds like the government is mostly being obnoxious; someone mentioned that the A/C had been turned off. Given that the A/C is on for filtration, not cooling, that made conditions get pretty unbearable. People threatened to storm some other part of the building, suddenly the A/C is on again.

Democracy, folks.

Our team lead at work got back from vacationing in Europe today. He brought us all shot glasses from Poland. I swear this office encourages alcoholism.
