We tanked my first Ultima's Bane together yesterday. It was like dancing. X3 I have no expectations. Just can't wait for whatever happens next.

As for me, I had a pretty blah Valentine's Day. You know that guy I liked? Turns out he started dating another guy very recently. The other guy also turns out to be a very good friend of mine so I can't even be angry. Thought I'd feel much worse about it, but I can't exactly wish unhappiness on either of them. And because they kept it within our circle of friends, they're unlikely to pull that "We're a couple now so screw you people!" disappearing act that another one of my friends did.

Ah, speaking of which, love the boss music for Ultima Weapon. Oh how I wish they would hurry up and release "A Realm Reborn"'s music. So far, all I've got are the town and starter field music from "The Sounds of Eorzea" that came with the collector's edition.

I had a great Valentine's Day for the first time ever. Spent the evening at my man's house watching silly romantic comedies over ribs and beer, followed by a bit of naked fun times. Don't need candy, flowers, or jewelry, just wanted to spend the time with him, which is exactly what I got. Happy Aks is happy. ^_^

On the subject of Ultima's theme, unlike Garuda's theme I haven't found a way to trick the game into play it at full quality on loop with the book at the inn, and that makes me sad.

I was thinking that this month is just turning out to be a really bad joke on me. Framing it like that, I can at least think it's at least a little funny. Like watching Charlie Brown in a sitcom.

Regardless, the guy I liked is still a really good friend. One of the five people to come and hang out with me on my birthday the week before the shit hit the fan at work. If he likes this other friend of mine, I can't possibly wish unhappiness upon either of them...especially since the other friend is a licensed counselor who was actually taking time out to talk me through the meltdown I had after finding out I was suspended. I'm only sorry that it took a job-related disaster to find out just how good my friends really are to me. Or my coworkers for that matter. They've all been calling me to ask how I'm doing.

But yeah, my birthday was excellent. Got to spend it with good friends that are intelligent and witty and unabashedly nerdy.

And Bravely Default got released and I'm 40 hours into it! My left hand hurts from playing so much 3DS. But it feels so bad and so good to have a game I can be thoroughly obsessed with again! So that's good too.

FWIW I believe a couple of my friends fits this bill.

Also "Men just want the sex" kind of spits in the face of the thing TM has going on now, does it not? (To say nothing of our whole gender, but then I suppose that a lot of them are dirtbags, much like a lot of people in general.)
