No. My company has been saving for one since like ever, but we're only 5 people with relatively limited play time, so it's been slow going. So far we have about 11M, with the cost of a medium plot on our server being ~19M, which is what we're going for. Most of the houses on the server are left unlocked so people can come in and see the place, and people have done some pretty cool things. I have friends in companies who've bought them, though, if what you're asking for is verification that they do not, in fact, do anything.

The entrance to Gridania's housing area is at Central Shroud (25,27), Limsa's at Lower La Noscea (33,19), and Ul'dah's at Western Thanalan (28,26). There are quests at Bentbranch, Red Rooster Stead, and Scorpion Crossing respectively that unlock aethernet access to the residential area from the city's main aetheryte. The quest is basically just to go to the housing area and back, so you might as well pick it up if you're going there. Blue houses on the map are unlocked, and you can go in and check them out.

So I found out I was accepted to a program in Belgium. Airfare puts it out of reach though; I basically have three major wants at this point, airfare for that, scooter for exploring the island, and new computer that would suck less. For the price of airfare, I could have both of the latter. Basically giving up one potential experience in Belgium for many potential experiences here, so seems fair enough I guess. Can always go there some other time.

I'm having a lot of fun at Disney this weekend but all this walking over the past two days and my feet are really angry with me.
