Started reading The Woman in Black. Went from cyberpunk heists to haunted houses. Think I'm gonna finally read Dune after this. Now that I'm finally in the reading sort of mood again...

I approve of this. The Dosadi Experiment is a good one-off if you're looking for more from Frank Herbert that isn't Dune.

I've gotten back into books too, since I read the Hunger Games series. I'd forgotten how nice it was to curl up under a blanket with a good book.

So far as I'm aware, there is no benefit to owning a house or furnishings as far as game mechanics are concerned. More casual shells use them for hanging out and goofing around, or for role play. More serious shells use them as a kind of trophy case, since some furnishings can only be created with items from CT, Coil, EX primals, etc. Or both. In either case it's a symbol of what your company can do as a whole when working together and of the unity of the group, since it's a major team effort to raise the amount of money required to buy the land. Plus, you know, a place to call your own, rather than being a transient crashing at inn rooms all the time.
