I think the cause for concern lies in a school system that can hunt down a teacher's blog on the internet and bothers to track it.

That's not exactly new.

I've been told even in my preliminary ed classes that I have to be extremely careful what I post on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites. Not to mention these forums. Then again, I'm not exactly into lolicon so that's something. I just have a potty mouth, and I think I'm going to be teaching high school, so that's less of a concern.

I will absolutely never befriend a single student or their parents on Facebook. Ever. I've heard too many horror stories of that coming to bite someone in the ass.

But yeah, it's not all that uncommon these days, especially when it comes to all of the sexual misconduct.

Pokemon: The Origin was surprisingly faithful to the game.

I think fully half of the dialog was pulled directly from the game. It hit all the right nostalgia points perfectly. I would have liked to see it be a little longer than four episodes so they'd have time to cover more of the game, but what're you gonna do?

Yeah, 12 episodes would've been nice. That would've afforded them enough time to show each gym leader, at least.

Was kind of retarded to see Red beat a Blastoise with a Charizard or Giovanni beat a Jolteon using Thunderbolt, but I've seen Ash get away with way dumber shit.

I could see a Charizard beating a Blastoise with sunny weather and Solar Beam. But yeah.

I'm surprised Red didn't have a Pikachu. I know that was basically something silly they did with Ash because Pikachu is the mascot of the series. But Red does use a Pikachu throughout the games.

I imagine they only put a Pikachu in his team to avoid ruining the headcanon of all the kids that started with Pokemon Yellow, just like they put in Blastoise and Venusaur. But considering they already invalidated the choices of anyone that started out with Squirtle or Bulbasaur in Pokemon The Origin, what's a couple more kids matter? It's not like they've ever acknowledged Pokemon Yellow as being canon.

It would've been kinda cool if they had worked in Blue/Leaf somehow though.
