So why isn't the UN enforcing it?

Russia and China are the only ones not getting behind the law and wanting to enforce it. They are buddy-buddy with Syria. At first Russia was using the excuse there was no proof that the Assad regime used chemical weapons on its own countrymen, but since the proof came out that they in fact did, now Russia is back stepping a bit and offering to have Syria turn its chemical weapons over to them to hold if the US will not do an offensive. It is a huge turn around for the Russians since on Monday, Putin said that if the US was going to launch missles at Syria, Russia would provide Syria with a ground to air missle defense system. lol...

My supervisor at work was fired today. She kind of made a bit of a scene about it but they escorted her out and after all was said and done, they told us that she was no longer with us and "please don't discuss it." Which means that immediately after HR left we discussed it. (Bit of background, our entire department consists of five people, all women.) Though in fairness, I had no idea what the hell had just happened. Apparently, there had been a bunch of complaints about her to HR from my predecessors and others and something was the last straw, guess we'll never know which.

I had gathered from the other girls that they didn't like her too much but I didn't really know why. But after this went down and they explained some things, a lot of other things started to make a lot of sense. But they have said that I shouldn't worry for my job, they've told me that I picked things up really well considering the former supervisor didn't really train me worth a damn and even the big bosses have been impressed by me.

So yeah. This happens at about 4:15ish. All productivity from then until 5:00 pretty much stopped in its tracks. Interesting start to my week.

God, office drama.

Not here, actually. Then again, working with older women and not 20 year olds like my last job has made a huge difference.

Apparently, this woman who was terminated was unstable. I didn't see it because she was on "her best behavior" since I started, but she'd made life a living hell for the others and was very controlling - to include getting angry if they left the door open or wearing perfume. More people have come into our department today than the entire four weeks I've been here, all saying "Wow, it's so nice to see your door open!" I guess no one liked this woman.

They packed up all of her shit from her office and she's going to be picking it up from the lobby this week. None of us are exactly thrilled about her being in the building at all. But at any rate, the atmosphere in here feels a lot lighter.

Relationship update, if anyone cares. The same night I posted these screens, I couldn't contain myself and told her that I'm madly in love with her. She was, I think, understandably a little stunned. It took her a while to reply. Her first thought was to my other relationships, how this would affect things with my wife, and whether all the time I'd been dedicating to her wouldn't be more rightly spent with my family, because she is so godsdamned wonderful and always thinking of others first like that. When we'd settled that subject, I of course had to check and make sure my abrupt declaration hadn't messed anything up, and she couldn't understand why it would have. "People can't help what they feel" and what matters is "I know you're a good person" and it would take a lot more than that to change her opinion of me. And "I don't think I'm as special as you think I am." Ah, I just want to squeeze her.

She doesn't reciprocate my feelings but it doesn't matter. Almost every moment that we're both logged in we spend together, watching the stars come out, or the rain come down, or the sun come up, sitting in the hot springs, or watching the elementals dance across the midnight dunes. On rare occasions, we'll even do something vaguely productive like linking leves, going fishing, or cooperatively synthing up HQ goodies for our friends. I hear things all the time like "for you, I'll try my best," and "it's better because I'm with you." She won't tell me that she loves me and I can't guess her mind, but I certainly feel loved. I'm special to someone. Someone cherishes me. Someone accepts me completely. It feels amazing. I haven't felt so giddy in love since I was a kid in high school.

I got boss 4 stuck in my head this morning, so I threw it on while the kids were getting ready for school. My son was like "THE FATE OF THE WORLD RESTS ON ME GETTING MY SHOES ON." Then as he finished tying his second shoe the track ended. XD

Sometimes it feels good just to say something, even if it doesn't turn out the way you'd like. Ever since Grouphug was taken down, I've been writing in a confessional just to get those kinds of things off my chest.

We had an all day managers meeting yesterday at Dave and Busters that ended in all you can play games, free beer, and a prime rib buffet. I'd prefer this ending... lol
