I only have 2 problems with BBT:

1) Chuck Lorre rarely bothers to do the research and it shows, especially when it comes to Video Games and Psychology.

2) The characters he writes are either fucking creepy (Howard and Leonard from BBT, Alan and Rose from Two and a Half Men), are so dumb it stops being funny (Walden and Those two kids from Two and a Half Men), or are just excuses to just do completely not funny national stereotypes (Raf and his sister in BBT, Zoey in Two and a Half Men)

The only ones that aren't like that are Penny and Amy from BBT and Berta (Probably the only decent thing left in the show) and Charlie Sheen's Character from Two and a Half Men (Well before it was clear he was sick of the show and stopped trying).

I wouldn't say BBT was poorly researched, just grossly outdated on video game humor and psychology.

I think my parents watch it and think that's what I'm really like when they're not looking.

Lorre was a little better with it in BBT sure but in Two and a Half Men you would frequently have stuff like a DS being called a Gameboy, Final Fantasy X and Crimson Skies suddenly becoming multiplayer games and kids learning how to drive by playing GTA1.

Not saying I dislike BBT, I really enjoy watching it, I was just pointing out what I dislike about it.

Hollywood writers, politicians, moms - they all get wrapped up in their own shit and sometimes don't really give a damn about the details of yours. I may as well be speaking Russian when I'm talking to my family about video games. Sad thing is I can totally be in sync with what they're talking about. Its never fun to have conversations that uneven.
