Ugh. I have a friend who just won't let the fuck up. I mentioned the other day while hanging out at a bar that there was someone I was considering blocking on facebook, and they were all like "GOD FINALLY I HATE THAT GUY" and I hadn't even named him. He's not mean or anything. He's just the first fucking person to comment on anything and everything. I think he receives some sort of alert when I do anything on the internet at all.

I finally did block him, and via text the motherfucker seemed to be breaking down due to lack of information about the minutia of my life. Like, he didn't figure out he was being filtered, but figured something terrible had happened and NEEDED TO KNOW what was going on with me. It's fucking annoying.

Not on-call the next 2 weeks. But my manager is going on vacation so I got more work to do.

Someone tell my work I'm not coming in. The end of the world is coming and I went down to Virgina to buy firearms, bottled water, and Chef Boyardi...

Well, I used to say "I'm not going to work tomorrow. Call them and tell them I died" or "I'm not going to work tomorrow. Tell them I was in a horrific traffic accident and am at the ER." But, understandably, people were very put off by that kind of...humor. Going to refrain from saying the latter one anymore, since a former staff of our site DID get in a horrific accident recently and is in the hospital for broken legs, broken right him, and a crushed pelvis. Currently not breathing on his own.

Hmm, right now, this feeling of loneliness suddenly overwhelmed me. I didn't get along easy with people in high school. In college, I did much better. But now I'm working full time and I realized I don't seem to have any real friends around. I had friends in high school, but never really kept in touch after high school. Then I went to college and had friends in college, but didn't keep in touch with them afterwards either. Had some friends at my previous job. Same with them, didn't stay in contact after we were all laid off there (temp job). And now, at my current job, it doesn't really feel like I can make friends with my coworkers because I'm most of their supervisors. And, as I pointed out in the post where I said I quit Final Fantasy XI, I had some people I considered friends on that game. But when they left before me, I didn't have the foresight to get their contact info.

So now I'm thinking, hey, I really screwed up and have nobody to really talk to. The only person I have put in any real effort to stay in touch with is on another continent entirely, and I'm not going to send him e-mails every time I'm feeling a little blue. Making some friends through an organization I joined. But those only really scratch the surface right now. Nobody there yet I would even tell any of this to.

So yeah...solitary life prospects getting depressing.

Hey Ketaru ... I know exactly how you feel. Actually everything you posted describes my life exactly. I don't make and keep friends well. And I sit at home looking out the window wishing I had ... someone. Other times I'm perfectly happy and I feel like I don't need anyone. I'm pretty sure I'm bipolar though.

We can be friends though! Where do you live?

I live in Morris County in New Jersey. Part of it is that I live in a suburb so there really isn't much spontaneity when it comes to doing things. Have to drive to everything so, every time I go out, I really need to have a plan in mind. So the "just go out and meet people" thing seems rather awkward to me.
