I was looking at the pile of ... whatever it is to the left ... looks like a pile of cigarette butts somehow sculpted to be like a cartoonish dog. Anyone else see it?

Holy crap, nostalgia bomb. I remember playing that for hours over the summer between camps while I was stuck at my dad's office. Took me years to find out why Everclear would fuel his rocket. (As a child, I did not grasp the concept of a liquid burning)

I never even considered it at the time. The vacuum cleaner was the one that always puzzled me. That was such a good game.

Never played it. I grew up on Snake. Many wholesome hours of eating a little block to make the snake I wanted bigger. Black background, white snake, white dot. White arena area.

I got called in yesterday - twas my day off - and I is tired. I get Thursday off now, as the girl who called of and I basically just switched, but it was last minute and I was in full-on relax mode when I got the call.

And I managed to go the whole day with saying the phrase, "I'm not even supposed to be here today!" only twice.

Nope. I've mentioned before that my wife and I are buying a condo. 3 weeks ago I put in for vacation for this past week in anticipation for our closing date. I was going to use that time to paint and set everything up... haul in the washer/dryer and all that fun stuff. 1 week before the vacation would have started, we learned that our closing date was to be extended by 2 weeks due to bank/loan office/seller drama etc... and I approached my boss about revoking my vacation and moving it back. She told me outright that when my vacation is finalized... it can't be moved.

I work 4 day weeks at 10 hours a day... so I took off the 4 days of vacation that would be sandwiched by 3 days of normal days off on either end... in an effort to do the work I need to on the new place. Instead... I ended up couch surfing and cursing the seller out from the comfort of my couch.

Now... with the closing date set for the 16th, I have only 20 hours of vacation and 1 personal day to cash in. I just put in for all 3... meaning that 1 day amidst those 10 I'll betaking off in that time period... I'll have to come into work. Yay for 4 days off... 1 day on 5 days off.

I hate my boss so much it hurts. This leaves me with no options if something important were to come up between now and November (when I get my vacation renewed).

During that time, I've been playing FFXIV on and off and mostly just milling around getting things ready for the move. Everything I own is in boxes save for my PC, our bed and 4 sets of clothes.

Observation: The outside world is over-rated.

The only reason you can't move your vacation is because you can't move your vacation? That makes no sense. I hate your boss for you.
