Title says it all!
I am wanting to get into cosplay for the hoots and giggles, to be more specific, I want to cosplay as Link from Twilight Princess. I think I could pull off a Link and I think his outfit would be fun to make.
I would like to do this well and to do it right. Info on how to make chainmail is pretty easy to obtain. The pants/shirt/tunic I may or may not have problems with (we'll burn and then cross that bridge when we get to it, in that order!) It's the leather items that are the big intimidating factor in this, well, the shield seems somewhat daunting as well for the artistically challenged such as myself.
But, I thought that since DiV has a goldsmith here, we might have a leatherworker or someone who knows a good place to go for the info!
Mostly looking for a good place to get started on the subject of leatherworking, and boot making. I think I'll be seeing if I can get some books through the library on the subject, most of 'em by Al Stohlman as most of his books seem to be highly recommended.
And of course any tips regarding cosplay in general are highly appreciated!
