I didn't really buy the resolution to that episode. The citizens seemed genuinely afraid, and they play it off like it's totally normal to invite the serial axe murderer back to your house next year because running for your life is fun.

I thought the episode was great. I loved seeing all the ponies in costume, and Luna being completely oblivious to how to appear natural was endlessly amusing.

A few thing bugged me, and I'll list them not only in the order they bugged me, but with the smallest leading up to the biggest:

• Pinkie making chicken noises bugged me a few times. I could tell she was doing it on purpose sometimes, but other times it came off as if she was actually a chicken. But it's Pinkie Pie, so it kind of works for her.
• Luna's way of speaking definitely led to many laughs, but when she was returned to just plain ol' Luna in season one, she said "I'm so sorry!" Now she speaks as if she was Venom or something, referring to herself as if she is more than one character, calling herself "we" for example.
• And this is without a doubt the biggest thing that bugged me, and I'm surprised no one mentioned it yet. WHERE THE HELL WAS RARITY? It was disappointing not seeing FlutterShy in costume, but Rarity not appearing at all?

But despite any gripes, the episode was super fun.

And I loved Dash's costume, and her pranking ways. I also really enjoyed Derpy's brief appearance.
