An ex-girlfriend lived in the area hit by the tsunami. It's over ten years since we spoke and I have no way of contacting her but I hope she was nowhere near when it happened. I guess I'll never know.

Well, news is my friend Justin (an English teacher) was in Tokyo when it it. He's OK. His family in Kitakami also OK.

My friend Mai came back to the US two days before it happened, I'm still trying to get in touch all the same.

As a result of my concerns over all this, I've now finally joined facebook >.> Mainly because I hate not knowing stuff when stuff like this happens.
